Improv Chattanooga is Chattanooga’s premier, non-profit improv comedy troupe and performing arts theater company. Instead of operating out of a single fixed theater, they perform high-energy, unscripted comedy shows and host educational workshops at various popular venues throughout the city.
The troupe puts on a diverse rotation of recurring performances:
• Monthly Comedy Show: Hosted at the Chattanooga Public Library (Downtown Branch) on the last Friday of every month at 7:00 PM. Admission is completely free.
• Drunk Storytelling: A crowd-favorite concept where improvisers attempt to recreate historical events dictated by an inebriated narrator, typically hosted at The Reading Room.
• “Hell Yes And…” at Redbud: Spontaneous comedic sets and collaborative long-form pieces performed live at Redbud.
• Venue Takeovers: Regular appearances at hot spots like The Chattery, Plant Bar, and Barking Legs Theater.
