Disney's Beauty & the Beast

It’s a tale as old as time. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast features the animated film’s Academy Award®-winning score with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by the late Howard Ashman and additional songs with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Tim Rice.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

Performances are weekends Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 2:30pm with a special midnight showing on Saturday, October 29.

No one would have truly believed, in the early years of the 20th century, that our world was being watched by intelligences greater than our own. As we busied ourselves, they were scrutinizing and studying us, as precisely as a scientist with a microscope might study the tiny bacteria that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacency mankind went about our petty concerns, confident in our empire over this small, spinning fragment of cosmic driftwood, which, by chance or design, man has inherited out of the dark mystery of time and space. Meanwhile, across the dark gulf of the universe, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic looked down on our planet with envious eyes. And slowly, and surely, they drew their plans against us.

Main Stage Holiday Meredith Wilson Musical December 9 through 23, 2016

The holidays sparkle with Miracle on 34th Street, The Musical, based on the 1947 film where Kris Kringle takes on the cynics and wins. Meredith Willson added music and lyrics in 1963 and called it ‘Here’s Love,’ but it wasn’t until it was revitalized in 2007 in a new production that it became a hit musical.
